Ford Galaxy (00 - 06)
Take a look at the number of these on Irish roads. That’s a sign of how popular the Galaxy was. Not alone was it practical, comfortable and versatile, it had a driving edge to it that made it the best in class by some distance. It has a huge cabin that is sturdy and comfortable for long family journeys. It can take seven, and has the option of removing seats to increase storage space. There is a good level of standard equipment and safety features. The handling and the ride quality are so responsive that you nearly feel like you’re driving a small car. The driving position is excellent and visibility enhances the feeling of being in control. There are five engines ranging from the 1.9-litre petrol to the 2.3-litre as well as some excellent diesels.
